chicago river... still green

So if you ever have lived in Chicago like I have for the last three months you will realize that the weather here is as sporadic as kanye west at a bridal shower.  Finally a beautiful day on friday, followed by two days of non stop rain.  The rain finally stopped today, so I was riding down the elevator and who do I run into?  How about Illinois governor Pat Quinn.  The poor guy can't get a break.  Not just is he forced to raise taxes, but he also had to replace disgraced governor Rod Blagiovich, who won't shut up.  Anyways his son lives right above me.... pretty cool eh?

Meanwhile I finally got a chance to explore downtown chicago.  The chicago river is still green.... and no it has nothing to do with st.patricks day....

Also I found the chicago board to trade today.  Two years ago I got an offer to be a commodities trader down at that place.  Basically I would buy buy buy large amounts of corn and soy, and then when the price goes up a little bit sell it and pocket the profits.  Luckily for me I did not do that... due to the economic crises the whole industry went bust.

Another fun encounter was a guy trying to air out his car and a pidgeon kept trying to fly into it.  Good times.
