Sukhothai Historical Park

We are looking for another place that called Sukhothai Historical park. (now i'm confused about national park and historical park!! :P) Anyway we found it. It's in town. This is the famous one. If you book a one day trip from Bangkok to Sukhothai but they don't bring you to this main attraction, kill me! ;) 

Sukhothai is generally recognised as a historical place. Sukhothai Historical park is located in "an cold city" but if you asked Sukhothai people they will tell you there is no New or Old Sukhothai. Everywhere is Sukhothai. But for tourist, old sukhothai is an old city where now is the historical park. New Sukhothai is where people live.

In the park you'll see the ruins, old temples inside.

THis place is not only a Thai heritage but UNESCO and the Thai Fine Arts Department also chose it for a world heritage. Inside there's an old city since Thailand's first kingdom which is almost about 1000 years ago. The city was surrounded by 4 city gates.  We walked around - it wasn't my first time there but I still got excited of what I've seen. In some weekend or festival time there will has a light and sound show, they talk about the history of Sukhothai. I wonder where was I in the last thousands years ago? Maybe I was born here, Sukhothai? Maybe I was fighting with the enemy to protect my city? When I steped on the groung I was wondering who were here in thousand years ago? I'm sure I can't walk here alone in the night. I don't know if you believe it but I believe that there has the spirit of our ancestors all around.

I left Stephane and Ale to walk around then I lost them so I waited for them at the car near the river in the city.

I've been in the beautiful moment that made me have the beautiful shot once in my life time! Most of you maybe already have this kind of pictures but for me this is the first time that I've got the nice one! You can see those photos down here. After i put my head up, I saw many many people stopped here and did the same haha ..

This place is close at 4.30pm, we didn't know. We were there until 5pm. The main gate was closed. Most of tourists rent a bicycle to ride around but if you want to excercise, it's good to walk also.

We were thinking to go to Ayuttaya or to stay over night here. Decided to stay here. Searching for the hotels to stay, found a few that interesting but we can't find the way to go there.

Then we've found one on the wayt to go to another one. After checked it out, not bad, so here! (I don't remember the name - damn it!).

The hotel looks scary. If they reconstruct it, would be better. Then we went out to find the special dish of Sukhothai. It's Sukhothai noodle! The different from the other noodles is they add legume :D haha yeah just that. But no one sells it in the night! They said you can eat Sukhothai noodle just only during the day! The owner of the restaurant told us to come back tomorrow! We wanted to try! So we head back to the hotel as the city was quiet even it was just 8pm. And they had Sukhothai noodle there :D:D:D We had some drinks, good food, gossip, discussing about the trip ... blah blah then went to bed. I was tired .. yes. They're too.
