Go to Maehongson
It's time to make a move. I can say that two days in Pai for me weren't enough but I got limited holidays. If we don't move now, my boss will kill me!? Yeah! Next stop was at the center of Maehongson. Then headed down south to back to bangkok. We checked out before noon, would like to arrive there before evening.
On the way we had to pass "Pang Mapha". I heard people said that it's as same as old PAI City. I just stopped around, haven't been inside the town but I can see the locals and their handmade stuff selling at the view point "Kiew Lom". And there, I can feel the "cold weather", first time of my north trip!! Awwww! Really nice. We looked at the map and the guide book to see if there's any interesting place during the way and found one "the fish cave national park".
We looked for a cave but there's no cave for you - but yes for a fish and it's down under the earth and really very small. I don't know what kind of fish exactly but I heard they translated "brook carp" (In thai is "Pla ploung"). They are really big! And a lot! I wonder how it taste? Hehe. :P Heard they said this kind of fish lives in a few places in my country where is cold such as waterfall. I bought fish food to feed them - I saw they sell the fruit also but I don't want to buy then the seller said "believe me, they love the fruit more than fish food" ... Yeah, true. They enjoyed eating cucumber, papaya and orange more than the food they called "food for fish".
This national park is a cool place, I think. You can also do the camping there. It's good for a relaxing break and picnic. Even there's nothing to see much because it isn't the cave as they named it but you may like the whole area more or less.
And yes there's a fee but we just knew it after finished touring around :P We parked the car in the back (sorry, we don't know) then we got inside - haven't passed the ticket point. Lucky Stephane and Ale. I'm sure if they pay, will be double for sure! :) (because they are farangs :))
