The next morning Erika, Klarke and I woke up late! Super late! Cecily, Esh and Sharon were all ready to go. They didn’t even come and knock to wake us up! I was tired of staying at the hotel and I got up and got ready. They had already gone down and I told them to call back up to see if it wasn’t too late for us. Well, she called and I was ready in 2 seconds.  Well, more like 15 minutes. But it was fast! I told Erika and Klarke they could stay if they wanted to, but they ended up getting up and ready to go, too. We walked downstairs super fast. That bus was nice! The drive to Playas del Carmen wasn’t too far either.

Well, like a 45 minute drive or so. The scenery on the way there was nice. Just the ocean on one side and green on the other and a bunch of hotels that looked super fancy! Well, at least the entrances to the hotels were super fancy! When we got to the hotel the colors were vibrant! They reminded me of a hacienda with the brick reds and a yellowish mustardish color, I guess I should say mustard. Going through the main entrance they had a huge Christmas tree. I am a big fan of Christmas and decorations during this season, but this was the ugliest tree I had ever seen. I can’t even describe the color scheme or the decorations. I was in shock. Erika was, too! We couldn’t believe it! It was horrendous! But everything else was beautiful! I wondered what happened there. But enough about that. We went to see what the hotel had to offer. They had snorkeling rentals, beach lounges, and this hotel had a Jacuzzi! I was jealous that it did.
ahhhh...
The one we stayed at did not, which I felt was a bummer. The bar was really nice. It was a circle and you could sit and just drink yourself into such a nice buzz! I loved this hotel! I cannot stress enough how beautiful it was! They even had rows of hammocks to relax and spend sleeping. Erika, Cecily, Klarke and I headed towards the beach so that we could get some sun as well as relax on the beach lounge chairs, while Esh and Sharon stayed behind and slept on the hammocks. I walked directly towards the water. It was very calm but very choppy because of the wind. It was windy but hot! I decided to walk down along the shore and Erika accompanied me while Cecily and Klarke relaxed on the lounge chairs. We found seashells and pretty rocks. It was nice. While walking, we saw two kids making a sand castle. I loved the way their castle looked so much I asked their father if I could take a picture of it. For some reason it reminded me of Thailand and Cambodia.

We walked back to the chairs and decided to rest and relax. It was so great! I napped for a bit. I would have gone snorkeling, but I forgot my stuff and we didn’t take any towels. But it was ok, none of us needed to do that. We returned back towards the hotel looking for Sharon and Esh and they were sitting on a table with a lot of shade. They looked well rested. We then ate tacos before heading back to the bus to take us back to our hotel.

Once at the hotel, we all headed to the room and we had a nice dinner, made by Klarke of course. Then we all went to sleep.
