Sometimes I forget I\'m in Italy until I email my family freezing in the U.S.
February 11, 2009
I'm so exhausted and I have to get up in less than two hours to get my train to Venezia! I'm so excited, but have no time to write! So here's a quick recap of my day.. partied last night (La Maison)...club with all Americans, American music (of the R&B and hip hop variety) and Italian guys trying to get with American girls..haha it was a good time though...sometimes you just need to dance with your friends after a crazy week. And come on, I NEVER party on Wednesdays at home! haha Well, long story short, we stayed out way too late, I slept late today, had to run to get my train ticked to Mestre, just made it to my 3 pm class then cooked dinner and sipped wine with some girls on the other side of my building, then came back and packed. Where does the time go?? Ugh and I still have to book spring break.
I'm thinking Spain is a must. I mean, I know a lot more Spanish than I do Italian, and I get by just fine in Italy. I just have to actually sit down and figure out how trains work in Spain. haha but that's absolutely first on the agenda for when I get back to Rome on Monday. Soo exciting! It's funny because sometimes I worry so much about school and everything I have to do that I forget where I am! I forget how happy I should be! So, starting this weekend, I am going to start having the time of my life. Soul searching can be exhausting, and it has been. This weekend is going to be relaxing and exciting....my first time ever to Venice! Yay! So look forward to lots of pictures and stories when I return!!! Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!!! Baci
