Birthplace of Aphrodite

I head a bit down the road to one very important site - the birthplace of nobody else than Aphrodite herself. Just off the beach she where born out of the waves and came out of the water near the rocks. Who knows maybe there will be another goddess appearing out of the waves today?
The rocks are just of the road and there is a small hiking trail which leads up to a lookout. You can kind of see it is low season because the hiking trail has been block by a huge pile of clay which is used for some sort of road work. But it is still possible to get to the viewpoint if you just crawl over the pile of clay.
After the overlook I head down to the beach to see if Aphrodite is down there - it doesn’t look like it eventhough there is a lot of the foam she was born out of. On the bushes down at the beach people have tied a lot of old plastic backs and other stuff to them - I am not sure if this is some sort of worship of the goddess or just modern day vandalism.
I guess there is no goddess appearing from the sea today - I suppose this is one of these events which only happens once every ten thousand year and today is not the day. But maybe next time - you never know.
