A Warm night, cool places and a nice cold drink @ Busboy & Poets

Norrelle was there at the gate when I came in! I hadnt seent her in over a year, yes when we last met! We had both worked together down in New Mexico. The DC Guard had came down for 2 weeks to work with us and on their first day Ms. Combest was picked to work with me and you could not find a better more compatible pair! The whole night we chit-chatted and talked on site as if we were old friends and we never met each other a day in our lives! Combest is from Chicago and since im a Milwaukee girl we got along just fine. On their last day myself and another WV Sergeant invited a couple of them to one of our favoite mexican restaurants in Old Mesilla and it was a nice evening!

To return the hospitality, Norrelle had invited to come visit DC, I told her I would love to one day and a year and a half later the one day sorta happened! And we were right back to chatting, talking, laughing, cracking up at people like ..we were old best friends! We have kept in touch ever since our encounter and i am proud to day Norrelle is one of my close friends, if i didnt believe in her I would never have came to visit! (Plus Ive never walked around DC!)

So today I will make my way to Pennsylvania Ave and walk along the Washington Mall! and find the Black 'er the current White House!
