sydney- manly ferry
after a much better sleep (windows shut!) mike had decided to take me on the ferry from manly to sydney. as we were driving up to manly (about 40 mins) the weather got worse and worse and by the time we walked to the ferry terminal we were getting wet! what a fab view of the harbour as we sailed in- not!!
i wanted to set up bank account and tax file number (to work) so headed to internet cafe. spent bloomin ages in cafe checking emails, updating journal and trying to apply for tax number but they said i wasnt in the country yet! oohh, the trouble i could get up to!
by the time we went back on the ferry (3pm) the weather had cleared and we had a nice view back across the harbour to the bridge and opera house.
in the evening chris and mike took me to a lovely seafood restaurant in cherrybrook and i thought i should be a bit more adventurous than fish and chips so.... we had huge prawns to start with (that i learned to shell myself-eeugh!), then i had roast jewfish with posh potatoes! it was delicious!
