the view across swan river from the swan bell tower

after a free brekkie i head into the city to go to some weird modern tower thing called the swan bells. it hold all 16 of the bells of st.martin-in-the-field in london. i sat in on some guy doing a demo and i didnt realise it was so technical (if not a little boring!). but further up the tower there were some cool views across the swan river.

i head up jacobs ladder to kings park and the botanic gardens. ok, so you'd think by the title 'jacobs ladder' that there would be a lot of steps involved.... but THAT many?!! the only people going up and down these steps were runners! and theres little ol' me having a coronary after 3 flights!

after all that exercise i thought i'd better refuel so i sat on the grass overlooking the city and river with my sarnies and book!  as i walked around kings park and the gardens the views got even more spectacular, the weather made it even more pretty. i was going to climb the dna tower (for more stunning views) but after seeing a whole heap more steps i decided to give it a miss! i reckon i'd done my fair shair of climbing for one day!

after having pasta for the 2nd day in a row (times are hard people!) i sit in the bar with my free beer and book! i obviously sat there for a while as the bar guy came over with another bottle of beer telling me it was illegal to sit on a beer that long! (note to self: must try that again for free beer!)
