I hope you enjoy my journey as much as I do!

mad irish pub!

anna(my boss' daughter!) and me at a pub in darling harbour.

after spending what seemed to be forever in the internet cafe trying to sort out my camera and uploading photos (of course with the heart stopping "oh, my god, where have my photos gone?" i decided that i hadnt really time to go around the botanical gardens. so, as its chinese new year i headed to chinatown, wherelse! went round paddys market (indoor) but didnt buy anything (dont want to run out of money in first month do i?!!). walked up a street with loads of chinese food stalls and other chinese things and had a potato pancake, which as u can guess had potatoes among other things in it. hey, its not kangaroo steak but i am being adventurous!!!

headed to darling harbour to meet my headteachers daughter anna, who is working in sydney at the mo. we met up at quite a swanky bar called cargo on kings street wharf, but nice all the same. anna's friend lucy joined us later and convinced me to go to an irish bar! so off us two headed (me nervously!). it was v.raucous with loads of drinks being spilled (mainly on me!) and glass being dropped and broken! nearly ended up with glass in my foot after taking a big chunk of it out of my flip flop!!!

we then went on to an irish bar (after surviving the pub!) which was much more quiter! i even found the crest (or flag, whatever it was!)of my family name, which was cool as i'd never seen it before.

so, yes i did have a hangover next day so there is no entry in journal!!
