I hope you enjoy my journey as much as I do!

hong kong

3.30 am- awake!! exactly what we didnt want! we couldnt get back to sleep so we had tea and watched a dvd!

on our walk to station i tried a traditional chinese breakfast called bao zi (said bow tza). it is steamed bread with gooey stuff inside (some kind of bean puree apparantly!) and it was delicious!

we decided to head into kowloon (island) to go to the ladies market but as we were so early (it didnt open till midday!) we went for a wander. and what did we find? a starbucks!

when the market did finally open it basically consisted of 6 types of stalls repeated over and over again! at least you could haggle though. i didnt buy anything (hey, i have a year to live off money!!) but we did have fun trying on lots of wigs!

in the evening we decided to go for a mexican and headed up to mid levels (half way up victoria peak) on the longest outside escalator in the world! meal was good but the chinese elvis impersonator was even better!
