its finally here!
so the games are officially opened tonight- hooray! as soon as i get home from looking after the monsters all day (actually, i spent the morning peeling, chopping, cooking and mashing vegetables!) the face paints go on, along with the big red (sticky felt!) cross on my white vest and we head to federation square. its a live site over the games (check out the website!) and is v.busy when we get there! we manage to get a good spot near the front and not long after arriving we spot a bbc reporter- claire balding (?!)! unfortunately she doesnt spot me jumping up and down but some friends get in the background!
its a wicked night, such a buzz. although we dont spend to much time watching the ceremony! loads of fireworks, great atmosphere and a random gorilla walking around! of course, i had to have a picture with him/her/it!
