So for around 10 days it started to snow in victoria...which most of the time is pretty unusual...But this year has been a whopper...So enjoy for now I pray for rain!!!!!!

Poor hummingbird feeder..

I love snow...really I do...I just hate having to drive in it...or to have my car stuck in it and it can't get out!!!!!!

It started to snow 10 days or so ago...and I can single handily say I am the most biggest chicken if I have to drive in the snow...seriously my mind just snaps, my stomach does flip flops...I wanna bring everything up...and when I do drive I white knuckle it the whole way to work.

My car is new...but is not a 4X4...or an all wheel drive...it s a little front wheel drive...and I am the world's worst driver in the snow...so I really try to stay off the roads. Really it hardly snows in Victoria...but gesh...it really snowed big time here...

So for a few days Shaun (nice man)...let me borrow his car (which goes through anything).

Frozen solid...

..so I could get back and forth to work. One day I was to chicken to even use his car because I heard on the news it was going to be a whopper of a snow fall and I was afraid I may not get home, and then shaun would not have his car...so I got a ride into work with one of the neighbours. Now wouldn't you know it...it stared to snow really hard...they closed the Malahat (my way home)...for three hours and it was a white out. I have a friend that lives in town, so I stayed there for 3-4 days...then I stayed with my other friends for a few days on the weekend...then back to my friends apartment until Friday december 26th at which time I got a ride home...with friends that have a 4x4.
They finally dug my poor car out, ploughed the road...but it is still really icy....and I am getting a ride to work with a friend until maybe it rains, or spring comes...which ever comes first.

It really snowed about 10 years ago...but boy how I have forgotten.

So enjoy some of the photos...Shaun took much of them because I was not here, but I managed to take a few yesterday while the road was being ploughed out. It is time like these I hate living up on a mountain.

but it is fun to play in...I just like it to be my choice...ya know like on a weekend end...then it can rain and go away....so I can play another day........

Yes snow Mike...I don't drive in it okay, I hate it...but it's more the car and my fears. Sometimes the other drivers can be problems...expecially if you are doing the speed limit and they whiz past you...then swerve in front of you...hate that...I love playing in it myself and try to as much as I can in the winter up on my secret trail....but then I do that because I want to...but still hate drvning to work in it.

Thanks Rudolph..I am glad to be home myself. Tis still snowing a wee bit on my way home tonight. I stopped off at the tire store and bought four new snow tires with studs in them...I can only hope that works...if not then I hope I get snowed out at home...but really pray for some rain...thanks for the smiles...have a great day!!!!!!
