Day 17 we drove out of Austria and into Germany. We only had one night to spend in Munich, and the Hofbrauhaus was clearly where we were going to spend it. We did, however, walk there so we could see most of Munich on foot. We got in and got comfortable. Sitting at tables with locals and singing what our guide told us was the "Hofbrauhaus Song" and prosting everyone. There was a bit of everything that happened that night, dancing, singing, lots of drinking, making new friends, betting on things, whatever. By the end of the night a group of tourists from China thought I played basketball for team Canada at the Beijing olympics, we had danced with most of the people and staff there and were starting to get into play fights. The play fights carried on through the streets of Munich and the entire bus ride to our hotel and then got worse once we got to the hotel. I walked out of an elevator and was suddenly in the middle of a brawl. That particular scrum wen through 4 hotel rooms and down a flight of stairs until we ran into some of the girls who told us that one of the kids on tour, Ben, and our tour guide had gone to jail. So we took a timeout to figure out what was gong to happen, and while we were thinking of a way to break them out of jail, another play fight started.

He tackled an undercover police officer, so he managed to convince them he didn't know he was a cop. He didn't get fired or anything, just a little beat up.

Yeah, our guide got out a few hours later but Ben was in there for longer. We found him at breakfast sporting a black eye, a cut where his eyebrow piercing was and a prison uniform. Which wasn't much of an improvement to Jason's black eye and broken finger.
