Day 13 and 14 - Venice

Day 13 we drove to Venice. We made another little stop on the way, this time in Verona to see Juliet's balcony. In Venice a flood had just subsided but they still had platforms all over. As usual all we wanted to do after a long bus ride was have showers and go on a pub crawl. So we went and found an Aussie pub and spent most of the night there.

Day 14 we finally took a boat into the heart of Venice. We saw most of the major stuff while we were walking around as a group, the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark's Square and spent sometime watch Venetian glass being made. Then we all split up to explore. I was with Shawn and Dan most of the morning. We succeeded in getting lost as soon as we were on our own. But being lost in Venice is nothing, you don't even really care. Eventually we made our way back to St. Mark's Square and saw a seagull eat a pigeon. Then we met up with the group, saw Claire get swarmed by pigeons and then went for our gondola rides. We had a nice dinner that once again involved mass amounts of wine. We caught the last ferry back and had the mother of all house parties back at the hotel.
