Stopped for gas and something to eat in Hesperia

to Las Vegas....

I decided to take my daughter Carla to Las Vegas.  I haven't ever really been there. It always was a stop on the way to or from somewhere when we were kids.  I remember smoke filled casinos, the sound of slot machines and Circus Circus which was already kid friendly way back when.  I've seen that Vegas has changed a great deal in the past 20 years.   So, this trip we're going to check it out.

The drive from Redlands to Las Vegas will take about 4 hours or so.  We get a relatively early start but make our first stop in Hesperia for gasoline and something to eat.  Again, I'm amazed about the flexibility of gasoline prices over here.  In Spain and Poland, they're quick to increase them but very slow to decrease them when the price of oil comes down.   We're a little hungry and have a hamburger at in-n-out...  which I like! Unbelievable that I cannot find a place to park!  There's a lot of traffic... The gas stations are swamped with people. I'm surprised at how many people are on the road but I hear that this is a very popular destination for New Year's Eve.
