I'M HOME!!!!  Finally!! That is sure a long, long trip.  It's so nice to be here in December!!! There's absolutely no smog... You can see for miles!  I remember friends who would come to visit in the summer couldn't believe that there are actually mountains out there!  The orange and other citrus trees are beautiful, loaded with fruit...  The Autumn colors that were gone by mid - November in Warsaw are bright and beautiful here!

Redlands is a pretty town and has a lot of great places to visit.  Just don't come here during the summer because it's incredibly hot, there's a lot of smog and you really don't get the idea  of just how nice this little corner of southern California really is, with its Victorian homes, palm lined streets, orange and lemon orchards, and canyons with some nice hiking and lots of wildlife.

I think that is Mt. San Jacinto in the background
Now, at Christmas time, there are a lot of spectacularly decorated yards - perfect for a drive around with the kids in the evening.  Unfortunately my nighttime photo taking prowess is not so great...   I am finding, that there seem to be less Christmas decorations and lights around than there were when I was a kid.

Feels strange to be back here after such a long time.  I somehow find myself falling back into old routines from a lifetime ago.  This and that with my parents, brother and sister, church on Christmas Eve, helping get gifts wrapped and food ready... This has been home to most of my family for about the past 30 years and driving or walking around this city sure brings back a lot of memories...
