Crowne Plaza Hotel City Centre Amsterdam

Bibi and I departed from JFK at 22:10 and arrived at Schiphol at 11:00. Long flights are not a problem, but I thought a DVT was about to form!!! After arriving to AMS, what was interesting is that there was more English signs than Dutch. For a second, it kinda' felt like Canada. Our ticket teller was Hilarious!!! After hopping on the train to Centraal, the pseudo Canadian feel quickly went away. Dutch and hash was clearly in the air, lol
Crowne Plaza in Amsterdam
Love it! The front desk personnel were very polite and QUICK. This is definitely a plus because I was tired and I wanted check-in to be a breeze. Location... AWESOME!!! The hotel is only about a block away from Centraal Station. As for affordability, I gave it an average just because it will depend how you make your reservations. I highly suggest www.priceline.com because it gave me a great rate. According to my travel guide, this hotel ranks as one of the highest (about 250 euros a night). However, this is NOT what I paid. My room cost me about 150 USD a night, which is clearly much lower once you convert to euros. This hotel is HIGHLY recommended!!!!

L M A O... i like the idea of hosteling, but it's not for me. i don't like to share : )
usually, i'll stick to hotels where i can sleep in the nude and do as i please. since i'm always working on a budget, i also look for the best deals. in this case, priceline's website was a toal savior!!! plus, i'm extraverted enough to meet random people in other places, lol, so i don't need a hostel for that : )
