Good views from atop an impressive rock/hill
Becin is a medieval fortress set on an impressive rock hill/cliff, just outside of Milas.
As far as ruins in Turkey go, this one is impressive more for its setting and impressive walls than for any incredibly well preserved details. Most of the fort is over run with weeds and, inexplicably, sheep.
The bricks and stones are massive, and it's clear to see why this site was chosen as a fortress. There are sweeping 360 degree views across the surrounding flat lands.
Watch your step along the edges of the walls. There are no guard rails, and the drops along the edges are near vertical!
