Relaxing

Starting just wandering around my own province of British Columbia but then headed out to Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. Trip included swimming in warm water, trying to order undon with my limited Japanese, almost crashing a two seat car in Penang and oh yeah my wedding proposal.

Relaxing

Nothing too exciting for the next couple of days.  Unless you call relaxing on the beach, drinking beer and taking the occasional swim in the ocean.  We rarely went farther then 1/2 km from the hotel.  I think Voon is half fish as she spent most of her time in the water.  Fortunately she found another the same age from Bangkok to play with so she did not have keep asking us to play with her.   The hardest part of this was that she would disappear with her friend and go father down the beach where I could not see her.  This made me very nervous as I would never let her do this in Canada.  I kept being told it was no big deal so slowly I got used it.

After a few days it was time to head back.  I had promised to be in Kuala Lumpur in a few days for a meet up.  We also wanted to do some shopping for Voon so she could have some new clothes for the beginning of the Thai school year in a few days.

We rode back on the ferry and this time I avoided the soup in Ban Phe.  For a change of pace I decided to stay in a different part of town in a nicier hotel.  Using the interner I chose the Ramada DMa Hotel.  I liked the hotel but not so much the location.  To go to the places we like to visit we had to take a taxi for several minutes through bad traffic.  I did like some of the buildings in the area and our room looked directly at the sky Hotel to give us about the best view you could expect in Bangkok.
