might as well start from where i left off after we left the hospital we managed to find a nice hotel where and then proceded to spend the next 3 nights in bangkok with our nice freind cable (well i spent most of the time wandering markets and nice Wats (umm temples) while chels became attached to her bed) after i finished exploring the town and chels was feeling a little better we decided to get the night bus Chumpuon where we got on the ferry at 5.30am to Koh Tao well it didnt leave till 7am but luckely they had a movie to keep us entertained at 6 in the morning. so after a 1.5hr ferry ride we arrived in Koh Tao which is a awesome diving island just above Koh Samui. we managed to find a beach hotel after alot of discussion whether to get a taxi or hire a motobike. the hotel cost us about $16 au for the night. the beach was fairly nice but because there was no surf then the sand under the water had some green algy on it. the next day we went on a day snorkling trip which was awesome the water was so clear we could see about 10m straight down. (of which chelc managed to dive down and pick up a dropped snorkel) the fish life was pretty amazing and at one place there were reef sharks which were quite scary although the longest was about 1.2m and they havent attacked ppl before. we had lunch on the boat then went to a island which is supposed to be one of the nicest in the world (although now that i dont have a camera we wont be able to see it) and it was pretty good with a strip of sand joining two islands and some nice snorkeling around it although i was a bit snorkeled out by then.
the next day since it was raining we decided to call it a day and get the morning ferry out instead of the night ferry. this took about 5 hrs and went via Koh Pha Ngan arriving at surat thani we then took a mini bus from here to Hat Yai (almost on the malaysia border) It was here that i lost my camera either it got taken while we were asleep as the bus arrived at 10pm or it fell out while we were fumbling around in the dark in the bag and we didnt see it. so that was a bit of a bugger especially as the insurance (if i can get it) only covers up to $200au per item with attachments and all up it would be worth around $450au. well we then found a hotel and crashed
today we got the bus to the pier where we got the ferry to Langkawi island (which is where i noticed my camera missing so we couldnt contact thai police) and that is where we are now after settling into a tiny cardboard box with holes in the walls for about $10au. so now ready for another exciting day tomorrow on langkawi (cept chelc is talking something crazy about horseriding) na it sounds fun since she is now hitting me. well thats about it ill keep you posted love to hear from you hope your all well. Lots of love Al
