Ah the Broken family band i think this may well be the last time i go see these boys for quite some time as this is about the 18th time I've seen them live in the past two years! Although i still really enjoy seeing them live i'm not so keen on their new material, they're losing their alt-country edge that had originally captivated me.
The venue tonight was Cargo a really nice small to medium venue situated under a bridge, so the whole building is made up of large archways made from old brick. I've been here a few times and always try to get here early as they also have a really nice Mexican restaurant, Mmm tortillas and burritos yummy. They also use the place as art gallery where they display graffiti artists work.
The line up tonight is as follows> The Miserable Rich.
We didn't see Miserable witch as me and my three friends were still busy stuffing are faces when he came on. We did see Jeremy Warmsley who was covering 69 love songs by magnetic fields, I've heard of the magnetic fields but haven't heard the album so couldn't say if they were good covers or not but it was very pleasant anyway. Next up was they Accidental who i had never heard of before tonight but was really pleased to have discovered them, they played some really nice folk tunes that had a bit of a funky edge to them. They have two singers a black guy with great hair and voice and a young lady with a more unusual voice which was also nice.
It stops my heart" he repeated this about five times and then the crowd started singing along with him, quietly at first but gaining confidence each time the line was repeated, eventually it seemed like the whole world was singing along it was simple beautiful i almost cried.
