This Blog will replace Hometown Unicorns as my odd weekends here and there Blog, mostly because there's a whole year - well, 9 months because I've done very little since October - in there and it's getting too big.

The Volunteer

Westminster

On the 16th, I went to a conference in London, and then met up with my cousin.  I think chances are that none of you are particularly interested in my thoughts on care for elderly people - let me know if you are! - so we'll skip to the meeting up with my cousin part of the day!

Mairi is a medical student in London, and I rarely get to see her because although London is very close to Swindon, it's an unbelievably expsnsive journey.  Seriously - I can get to Edinburgh for less money, sometimes.  Mairi lives close to Baker street tube, and after a bit of wandering about in Westminster taking photos with my new phone, I got to the tube.  We went to a pub called the Volunteer, which is very cool.  They also had mulled wine, so I was very happy.
