My First Dutch Windmill!

Brett, being the absolute sweetheart that he is, took me on a detour headed to his house so I could experience my first Dutch windmill. Poor Brett though - he was so excited about bringing me here, not realizing there is one more windmill you pass along the way which of course I spotted and yell out, "my first Dutch windmill!" But since we were driving and I didn't really get to see that one, I will not ruin it for him and say this is my first Dutch windmill! It's funny that it was not quite what I was expecting. It seemed smaller than I would've imagined actually. But nevertheless, it was beautiful and I was very happy we got to stop and take pictures.
The area we stopped in was called Breukelen and had a beautiful Chinese style hotel located nearby. The hotel is a copy of the Chinese Imperial Palace from the forbidden city in Beijing. The hotel was obviously rather popular since we couldn't find a single parking spot in the lot where we could run out and take pics! LOL. The wall was intriguing as it was a dragon which is what caught my eye initially.
Next trip out I would like to possibly explore this area a little further since I read the area is named for its medieval castles like Nijenrode (1270) which was rebuilt in the 19th century and now the site of Utrecht University, Gunterstein (17th century) and Oudaen (16th century).
