The Summary

Chalcatzingo is an Olmec outpost site with both free standing and live rock Olmec rock art. There are hundreds of pecked and painted figures on rocks and in caves. This site is currently under excavation and consolidation. There is an modern campground just before the site museum. The grounds have lush lawns, 2 pools, a modern bath house, palapas with grills.
