The Summary
Huamango (Otomi) hilltop ceremonial center located 3 miles north of Acambay on east side of Route 55. Ruins are not open on Mondays. $35 MxP. Allow 1 hour to see site. Great place to have a picnic. Some reconstruction on 3 multi-tiered temple platforms. Stairs face north. Adjacent fields are part of the original site. They are full of dry stacked and cemented walls. Much chipped stone and pottery as field float. Great 360 degree views. Caution the access road is sinuous, steep, and narrow.
