Relaxing
August 23, 2006
More relaxing by the pool mostly and reading. Did some shopping. We have been going to this outside bar in the "O-Top" nearly everyday, it's so quiet. Lots and lots of shopping to be done of course and a lot of people wanting you to buy things! It's a little more expensive than Bangkok but the sizing is much better, and you can pretty much buy anything you want here.
We also have only been eating at the O-Top, if you've been wandering around (it's not that big) you would have noticed at one end there are open food courts. GO THERE! It's the best food for so cheap. We tried Indian the other night and it was pretty expensive - $800BHT for 3 of us, whereas at the Thai place there we would get about 2 coke's eachh plus our meals for about $300-400BHT. Their meals a gorgeous, so yummy. Don't buy from the restuarants on the beach, you will pay just as much as you do at home and there is nothing like having real Thai food, with your money going back to the Thai people rather than foriegner's who own the hotels and restuarants.
