A little bit of history

Brisbane Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

I am tagging along with a study abroad group from Georgia Tech while they are in Coffs Harbour and Brisbane, Australia

A little bit of history

One of the best parts of this trip has been the opportunity to learn at the feet of Dr. Gus Giebelhaus. He is a great historian and has great stories. He is teaching the history class here on the Study Abroad trip. His class and I took a field trip to the Maritime Museum on the South Bank of the river and we got a personal tour of the WW2-era river class frigate that they have in dry dock that actually saw action in the war and was the site of two Japanese surrenders.
