Peet's Coffee

Berkeley Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

I grew up in Los Angeles, but between school, work and travel, I haven't been back in over a year. Angie joins me on this road trip to visit friends and family.

Like most early morning adventures, this journey starts with a trek to Peet's Coffee for a bit of encouragement. This is the first ever Peet's Coffee and the inside of the cafe is pretty classy. Not classy like pretentious snob, but dignified scholar. Unlike most coffee places, there aren't really any tables or chairs to sit at inside, so you'll be getting your coffee to go.

My favorite drinks are the Mocha and the Vanilla Latte. The mocha's taste like real chocolate rather than sugar with an artificial chocolate taste. The vanilla latte tastes like a sweeter and creamier mocha, and is my personal favorite.  Above all, the coffee flavor is strong, rich and full. The prices are slightly higher than Starbucks or comparable places, but for coffee lovers I think it's well worth the price.

Outside the first Peet's in Berk...
