On Tuesdays, the Metropolitan has steak meals for $13. The Metropolitan is in the suburb of North Melbourne, and is a pub next to what is known as the Meat Market: not actually a meat market, but an art gallery (yes, very confusing).
Every Tuesday the Metro offers a large slab of steak, mash, spinach and tomato for $13. It's a quality meal for a good price. But you will have to put up with a snail-paced service. It's probably a good idea to book ahead if you're going with a large group.
