Chadstone: The Fashion Capital

Melbourne Over Coffee is a 'sticky' blog of mine - one that I will add to intermittently - that will delve into the world of inner Melbourne. Find out what a Melburnian gets up to, which festivals are worth seeing, why exactly Australian football (or 'footy' as it is known here) has a knack for making us go crazy, and most importantly, where to find (good) food. Welcome to a year packed with festivities, sports, and fashion. Welcome to the sporting capital of Australia: Melbourne.

Need a dress?

Need an expensive dress?

Need a cheap dress?

Need a mid-range dress?

Don't need a dress?

Chadstone is your place. Nestled in the tram-void, train-void reaches of Melbourne's suburbia is a shopping oasis: Chadstone Shopping Centre.

It has everything you would ever dream of needing: High-end fashion outlets, low-end fashion outlets, mid-range options, discount chains, electronic super-stores, supermarkets, bookshops, stores selling bedsheets, stores selling pewter, stores selling jewellery, and mega departmental stores; namely the two most reknown chains in Australia, the Myer and David Jones empires.

Basically, if you're looking for a store and it isn't here - it isn't worth shopping in.

A combination of the sky lights and the building's immensity make shopping here a pleasant experience. You can get wonderously lost in the depths of Chadstone Shopping Centre, and even the strict anti-shoppers of you all will enjoy a stroll in the well-lit halls of Chadstone.

It is an impressive complex that isn't dubbed the Fashion Capital for nothing. Forget the city, Chadstone has it all.
