Authentic Italian food and authentic Italian staff
Villa Rosa is an Italian restaurant that offers authentic Italian food because all of its staff are actually Italian - which seems to be something that is quite rare in the UK.
The restaurant is located on the High Street in Egham, as small town that - apart from Royal Holloway University with its famous "Founders Building" - does not actually have a lot of huge interest to offer. But even though the town is small it has a few good restaurants along the high street and Villa Rosa is one of the best.
The prices are reasonable for British standards and the quality of the food is very good. Staff are always friendly and may offer a bit of a chat as well as information on their dishes. A more special thing about Villa Rosa is that if you want desert you don't get a menu - instead, they bring the desert trolley and show you, so it's more a case of pointing and saying "that one!" The difficulty is actually making a decision because it all looks so good, even after a very good and filling meal.
Egham is probably not very high on anyone's priority list, but if you happen to be in the region Villa Rosa is a good place to have a meal.
