having breakfast before leaving...
Wow! today would be the day the Machu Picchu adventure would start. The train would departure at 6am, so we had to get up early, but I was so excited that I woke up even earlier - around 3:45am, hehe. I got ready trying not to make much noise, so Ana Maria wouldn't wake up and almost succeded. In my way to the kitchen I was surprised by 3 big dogs. I like dogs, but they were big, haha. Finally I arrived to the kitchen where I met Eric and Nora. She got up at 4am just to prepare breakfast for us, how sweet! As we requested yesterday, we got fresh fruit, juice, bread, besides tea. After saying good bye to Nora, we left the house and took a cab.

It was still a bit dark when we arrived to the train station. The drive was shorter than we expected, haha. It was just 5am and the station wasn't even open, mmm.
this will be our 4hrs long drive...
What to do now? Well, we were in Cusco right before the sunrise, would we stay there? No way! we took a walk around the area. We were close to St. Francisco Square, so we walked around the park and enjoyed how the sky changed its color. So beautiful!!!

When it was clear we started to walk back to the station and I started taking more pics, hehe. The station was already open, but we couldn't board the train yet. The Vistadome was the 2nd type of service and they didn't want us to board until all the table clothes were ready and everything looked perfect :P No complains at all...

Finally it was boarding time. It was the beginning of the rainy season, so there were a couple of free seats in the train. For the Vistadome you have 2 seats in front of other 2 with a table between them. I sat next to Eric and a Swiss guy sat in front of both of us, but nobody else sat next to him. We started to talk to him and also to the woman sat crossing the corridor. She'd stay at the same hotel as us, yay!

We left the station on perfect time and while we were leaving the city we were able to see how the city was waiking up for a new day :)
