We arrived to Aguas Calientes around 1:30pm and our train wasn't leaving until 3 something, so we had plenty of time. I wanted to walk around the town, but Eric was tired. So we took a small walk - also there's not much to see here, except tons of new hostels, ciber cafes, massages and restaurants. I was trying to remember how this small town used to look like, so traditional.
We started to walk in direction to the station and stopped for a while at the indian market, which used to be just 3 rows of stands and now was big, but almost all the stands offered the same thing.
There we met the woman who went next to us in our way from Cusco to Aguas Calientes, haha. It'd have been hilarious if she'd have sit next to us this time too, haha. Also I recognized some of the hotel's guests and we just said hi. Eric sat, but I didn't want to do it. I'd be sit for 4 hours!!!
It was really sunny and warm in Aguas Calientes, so after a while we went inside the train station. At this point I realized I got more than just a couple of mosquito's bites, ugh... We met a nice couple, sat in front of them and started to chat just waiting for our train to arrive and drive us back to the city where my aunt would be waiting for us. I talked to her before leaving and we'd be able to stay at her place, yay!!!
I could hardly wait until meet her and my cousin again :)
