Today we went back to the weekend market because it’s so awesome and I finally found a 2 person tent and had more shakes. Later on we went to the night bazaar near Lumphini park. There was this whole food court that had beer as well and it was set around a stage with a free concert! You had to buy these little coupons and then could use in any of the stalls for food or drink. Most of the singers were rubbish and so were the dancers to be honest- but it was just one of those funny Thai moments. Our song “nobody nobody but you” came on and that horrible scary one- doo do do, do der tum. You know, that one. Everyone in Thailand knows it. We had a few beers and got a bit tipsy and did our usually drunken market thing i.e. silly haggled and won and had lots of fun. I bought another dress- this cool strapless elephant thing in cream with red bits, it’s really nice. And these awesome flip-flops that don’t have a stupid plastic thong bit and don’t rip up your toes.

We got changed in the toilets into our new ‘posher’ clothese and had a little wash and went to the Moon Bar at the Banyan Tree hotel. It was closed because it was like 1am but we were still allowed up onto the balcony and took in the views- all the skyscrapers and skyline of Bangkok at night which was pretty amazing. After that we found the ballroom and danced and pranced around in the emptiness. We then left, and waited ages for a non-existent night bus but finally cracked and got a taxi all the way back home. We dumped all our stuff and went back to Khao San road at like 2am which is a perfect time. Had some more beers and met loads of random people and hung out with them all night/morning until daybreak when we went home to sleep!
