A friend of mine who went on recruitment trip to Manila, took me along. Although, its not my kind of place but I came anyway. We stayed in Makati where nightlife is hectic. We stoll in the nights at the busy avenues and find our way to bars and clubs. Hard Rock really rocks! The band was indeed a good one! I must admit, i really hated the traffic, and you cant walk either, too many people. But the mandarin oriental hotel was amazing! Great Service!
Went to Manila with a friend on recruitment trip. Stayed at the Mandarin Oriental, prefered staying at the Shangri-La however we couldnt get a room due to Chinese New Year. So instead, we got a great price at the Mandarin. We had a limosine pick up - something we did not expect. The welcome at the reception was great, names were used as oppose to just Sir or Madam. Although the hotel is old, and not really a wow factor but the smille of the staff is everywhere, very warm and helpful. Location of the hotel is ideal for shopping and bar hoppings, its in the centre of the business and entertainment places. Whats amazing was the they even fill up your disembarkation card already when you check out! Wow! Didnt regret staying there. Although the price is expensive for a traveller but the price is right for the commitment they give.
