Morocco 2007

Casablanca Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

For as long as I can remember I have had the insatiable desire to visit Morocco. I never understood why, so I was determined to visit the country to see if I could discover the answer. This was my 2nd trip to Africa in less than a year. Both trips were with the same friend. I knew this was going to be an incredible experience, but it definitely exceeded my expectations, despite becoming addicted to Moroccan mint tea!

Casablanca

Our exact journey through Morocco!

This trip was booked through www.gate1travel.com.  It is fantastic and comprehensive tour agency and I strongly recommend using them!

My intention was to write daily blogs for this trip, but sometimes one gets so involved in the journey that one does not have the time or energy to express their experiences in words.  And this was definitely one of those times!  I do believe, however, that my pictures truly speak for themselves.

Here was our travel plan from Gate 1 for the day:

Arrive and transfer to your hotel.  Later this afternoon, tour Casablanca.  Your half day sightseeing includes: the exterior of the Hassan II Mosque and the Corniche seaside, a short drive through the residential areas of Casablanca to the city center to visit the Mohamed V Square, the Habous quarter, and the Notre Dame de Lourdes Cathedral.
