Going for Te Anau, but on the way we are going to Milford Sounds. On the way there we were astounded by the beautiful views. We actually stopped in front of a tunnel that led to the other side of the mountain. Nearby there were snow that we were able to go to and have a bit of snow fight and enjoy the snow.
Red Boat Cruises
The cruise was exciting, because on either side of the Milford Sound we saw tall mountains and we even saw some seal colony resting on the rock under the sun. We also saw a big waterfall where the captain actually drove the cruise really close up to and the water sprays from the waterfall were splashing down like a mini rainfall.
After reaching the ocean opening we were directed to Underwater Milford Deep where we went down ten metres under ocean level to see the living ocean creatures around the place, there were fishes of different sizes, there were many ocean plants that I have never seen in my life before.
After the cruise we headed back catching the last cruise of the day back, time went really quick it seemed on the way back as we were all the way back to the Milford harbour in what seemed like ten minutes from the Underwater Milford Deep. The crew members in Milford Deep actually took the cruise too to go home from work.
Today is Christmas Eve and we are going to spend the night in Te Anau, I hope it would be a great experience.
It appears that there are several Chinese restaurants in Te Anau, we will probably go to one of these restaurant for dinner rather than cooking dinner for ourselves.
It seems that all the motels we stayed in so far all support internet in some form, most of them charging by time rather by data transfered
Dinner at local Chinese restaurant
The food at the local Chinese restaurant was pretty neat, it tasted really good. There were really nice Chinese cooking to fill up our hungry stomach. We had deer meat, beef and fish.
