A big trip with my mom (my dad did not want to come with us because of the long flight) to Kenya! We were very excited and prepared! Everything was planned through a Swiss travel company inclunding a safari tour what is a must in Kernia! I still remember that trip very well! Kenia is a beautiful place and I especially enjoyed the safari days! My first trip with a "real" camera!

Safari 1st day

August 21, 1993

In the morning we left our hotel for the Bamburi airstrip. From there we flew west, past majestic Mount Kilimanjaro to the Masai Mara, an extension of Tanzania's vast Serengeti.

We first went to the to the Mara Buffalo Camp where we got all the information about the "to do and not to do list". After an introductory talk we got in our jeeps and went on our first adventure cruise around the reserve. In each Jeep were 6 plus two drivers. I sometimes found it very hard to understand what they said but for sure they took us to a lot of nice places! 

In the evening we had a nice dinner and enjoyed the sunset and the fireplace. What a great spot to finish off the first day!
