2nd day
August 22, 1993
The second day we started off early in the morning to go on a full day tour. The vast plains of the Masai Mara cover some 1,510sq km and support a wide variety of wildlife and that day we wanted to see some more of it. I was excited to see my first wild elephants and lions and ........
For lunch we did a 'big game hunter's' picnic - most of the food was eaten by birds and flies but is was great fun.... I just had some bread and beans with whatever was in there - was pretty crispy (no bugs, I checked before!!!) I think we had some sand in it! ;-) Some marabous were watching us and we were watching them......
Fantastic place - and we did get to see a lot of wildlife!
