I moved from Canada to Perth, Australia in November 2008. This is a blog of the places I've been since living in Australia.

Last day in Melbourne ... bye, bye Aussie East Coast!

Building in Southbank

For my last day in Melbourne, I decided to do a whole bunch of nothing but walked around and taking pictures. I checked out of the hostel around 11am and wandered through the CBD up to the Melbourne Museum and had some breakfast in the park next to the museum. Then I walked through the Fitzroy Gardens, over by the cricket grounds, across Batman Avenue and into the Botanic Gardens. This time I went through a gate that had a map of the gardens. I walked through pretty much all of the gardens and found the giant pond in the middle of the park.

After a nap in the park (learning my lesson from Croatia, I used my purse as a pillow this time, just in case!) I walked back to the hostel to grab my things.

My flight's at 6:50pm and I have to say, I'm not very excited to get back on a plane to Perth. I'm a huge fan of this city!
