Bye bye paradise, back to land we go

Another early wakeup this morning, I woke up to Mariah Carey's "All I want for Christmas is You" playing on the speakers. Well actually, the first time I woke up at 6:30 was some Aussie guy over the CB radio calling out "Merry Christmas" to someone on another boat. It was then that I realized it was Christmas morning ... as it sure doesn't feel much like Christmas!
The crew, dressed kind of like santa and an elf, brought out Christmas presents for everyone. We each got a box of biscuits and a Christmas Cracker thing. I got a small plastic frog that I think you're supposed to put on your shoelace. I think I left it on board.
We had to get back to shore for 12pm so we had a few hours out in a bay to chill out in. A bunch of us got on our sexy stinger suits and were jumping off the boat.
We then started sailing back to shore and I spent most of the 2-3 hours laying in the shade trying to get in a quick nap. We've done lots in the past 4 days and I'm starting to run low on sleep!
We got back to Airlie Beach and checked into our hotel, Club Crocodile. YAY a real bed! I'm sharing a room with two other girls. There's a double bed and a bunk bed.
Since it's a public holiday, nothing is open so after a few hours at the hotel, we're going down to the man made lagoon down by the beach for some more sun and an Aussie BBQ Christmas feast. Bars aren't allowed to be open until midnight so we won't be able to get a Christmas beer.
Merry Christmas everyone! I'd like to say I miss the snow, but after talking to my mom and hearing about the crazy storms back home in Canada, I have to say, I'm not missing it at all!!
After a few hours at the lagoon, a few of us decided to walk around the town (one strip of shops) to see if anything was open. After getting icecreams we found a restaurant that was serving beer but you had to order food. Although none of us were hungry and since they told us we needed to order 2 large pizzas between the 4 of us, we order two big pizzas and then were allowed to drink as much beer as we could as long as we left an hour after our meal was finished. It was an expensive way to get beer but we were all quite happy with our Christmas Day Beerskis!!
