We woke up at 3 am to get ready to go to Stanstead Airport. Our flight was at 6.10 am and was due to arrive at Rome at 9.45 am. As soon as we got there, we joined a long queue to check in which took forever due to tight security measures, after that joined another queue through the security and finished it off with yet another one to get on the plane. It was early in the morning so we were happy to be on the plane so we could get some sleep. When we woke up and looked out of the window, we found ourselves overlooking the Alps, which were spectacular. So majestic and enourmous. After that it only took about half an hour and we landed safely in Rome (Ciampino Airport).
