The doorkekper

We spent one week in Malang at Michael's and Doris's house. There is no need to go through all the details day or day. Somet things are not interesting for you at all. Other things I cannot remember exactly anyway.
On this particulary sunday we attended a protestant service in the local church at Malang Michael was working at. It belonged to the "protestant church of East Java". The service turned out to be surprisingly traditional which I didn't have expected. All participants were wore wide, colorful robes. They even had a small organ for the hymns. Later we visited a Chines temple followed by a stop at the "doorkeeper' of Singosari" (picture) which is located in the norhthern outskirts of Malang. The setting was...er...ugly. Especially the background. But then a little boy appeared. His t-shirt added the missing spot of color and so I took a picture.
