Tengger Caldera with Mount Bromo, Java, Indonesia
As I have mentioned in my review about hiking Mt. Bromo getting from Probolinggo to Cemero Lawang, our basis for the trip, was kinda adventurous. Arranging transport was easy. We found a "taksi" directly at the station in Probolinggo. After two or three minutes I realized what our driver's motto was: "Time is money!" And his name could have been Ayrton Senna or Michael Schumacher. We were literally flying up the hills towards the Tengger Caldera! There were many people on the streets in some areas. But our driver would just honk the car horn and go (fly) on without hitting the brakes.
Wondrously we reached Cemero Lawang without any accident - and quite early! :-D It was enough time left to search a hotel and have a first look at the wonderful caldera. Most impressive!
