Pura Aman Ayun and more temples
July 16, 2001
Ok, this entry is for all the other temples we visited. I m not even sure whether we visited all of them on one single day. Probably not. Since that would have taken too much time. One of temples was "Aman Ayun" in Mengwi. Another one perhaps "Goa Lawah". It was time to wear my Sarong again. :-) The most fascinating thing I remember were the butter statues in one particular temple. Unbelievable, had never seen something like that before. Well, some pictures years ago. But this was reality. Everything was incredibly colorful and detailed. Wonderful.
There was one drawback. During our whole drive we did not see a photogenic rice terrace. The only one that caught my eye turned out to be a nut plantation (see the picture)! At least it had been used as a rice terrace earlier. :-D
