Malang --> Kuta (Bali)

This was by far the most strenuous day of our trip. What did we do? Nothing. We just sat in the car the whole day long. Going to Kuta (Bali) by car took us 12 hours although Michael drove like Michael Schumacher (...this actually was the nickname the locals had given to him)! Most difficult thing was cheering up poor little Aaron. After two hours he was completely sick of sitting in the car and loudly vented his displeasure. We gave our very best. Singing finally saved the day. And the break when we took the car ferry from Ketapang (Java) to Gilimanuk (Bali) came in handy! We arrived at Kuta around 9:30 pm. Michael and Doris had rented a beautiful bungalow in a nice hotel called "Natour Kuta Beach" (today: Inna Kuta Beach). Three nights at this place, that was their wedding present for us.
