Yet another Dutch feis, a home game for me: a 20 minute drive and organised by my own school! It was a long, long day since all competitions were run on one day, but for some strange reason we managed to finish on time.
I danced 8 dances: beginner reel, light jig en treble jig, traditional set, intermediate reel, and primary reel, slip jig and hornpipe. I placed 2nd in my beginner reel, so that one is moved up to primary, 4th in light jig and 5th in treble jig (surprisingly good, I am not that much of a jigger). And I got second in my primary hornpipe! What means I am intermediate for that dance now, shoot.
A funny thing happened, actually a real beginner mistake: during a fast costume change I think I didn't pin my wig secure enough. So it was bounce proof but not twirl proof, as I found out. During a twirl in my intermediate reel I felt my wig slipping and I was like: O no! I jumped up and swoosh there it went! I almost cracked up while dancing, but kept dancing. Everytime I turned around I saw it lying there, like some run over guinea pig! Giggle!
