Training! Lots of training is required for a walk like this. If there was one thing that we are 100% committed to.....it's the training!

We set off at 8.30am - pumped and ready to take on the 30kms that lay ahead.  We were prepared for the torturous walk that would see us cover 30kms.  There was no time restrictions - just walk the walk in a day.  A quick shower and freshen up at Dim's (ie. remove the sunscreen and the bugs stuck therein, untangle the sweat knotted hair...you know the drill) and then saunter into Mordie for a coldie and well earned meal. 

The walk was a total success for us for a few reasons.  One, we managed to solve the problems of the universe in our 7 hour walk.  Two, we avoided being a bumper sticker on the cars as the curved around Mt Eliza at 100km/hr (for those not familiar with this part - it's where there's no bike lane, no footpath and the scrub is so thick you have to walk in the gutter and hope you dont lose your balance and skittle onto the road).

Tex Perkins. He didn't help us train. Nor did he actually help us walk. I just think he's a huge spunk - which warrants his picture in the blog really.
  But finally, and most importantly, we raised around $600 (with promised donations, so please cough up those promisers....you know who you are) and that's triple what we expected....and we didnt even have to stop shaving!

Infact, we are so thrilled, we are plotting and scheming for another challenge in 12 months time.  Something for the girls this time.  All challenge ideas accepted - shoot them through.  Do be original though and leave out the well suggested parachute-less skydiving.  But enough talk - here's the pics to prove we did it and just how grueling it was.....

But before I do......THANK YOU!!!!!  To all of you that have donated (or will donate) to this fundraising event we thank you on behalf of Movember.  We did personally make a gain from the whole experience....blisters, sunburn and muscle cramps.  But worth every cent.  Thanks!!!
