Hollywood --> Los Angeles, LAX

Los Angeles Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

In the summer of 1996 my cousin and I travelled through the Southwest. 4,000 miles on the road, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco plus a dozen National Parks including Grand Canyon, Canyon de Chelly NM, Mesa Verde, Monument Valley, Arches, Dead Horse Point SP, Bryce Canyon and Yosemite. Glorious days.

Hollywood --> Los Angeles, LAX

The last day of our trip. Our flight back had been scheduled for late afternoon. We took advantage of this opportunity and went to the beach again. No, not Venice beach. In those days I was simply a little bit ignorant of typical "party spots". We chose a rather quiet beach close to Pacific Palisades instead. I walked along the seashore once more and enjoyed watching the surfers.
It became cloudy in the afternoon. Since we had nothing more to do we took some funny video shots of our car of whom I am not sure whether I will upload them someday. Well, perhaps. :-D

There was one final question: Would any problems occour at the car rental service? Well, "damage to the car is already included." This had been the word. And it turned out to be true. Although the underbody at least had some big scratches we did not have to pay anything.

Good bye, America. I'll be back!
